A technique used by glassblowers is using wet newspaper pads to shape molten glass. Inspired by this process we created glassblowing moulds from rolled up paper, dipped in water. The molten glass is blown into wet moulds and adopts the shape and imprint of the paper. As heat burns off the paper edges it singes the inner side of the mould a dark, matt black.
